OLED screen for Huawei Mate RS was made by LG Display!

Once and for all, LG Display has made a remarkable achievement by selling the flexible OLED displays to Huawei for its recently release Mate RS Porsche Design, which will come with the curved screen edges. The noteworthy aspect is that Huawei P20 Pro did not come with the OLED screen made by LG, hence it can be said that the current deal is not a bigger one.

As a matter of fact, Huawei itself is the 3rd largest Huawei mobile phone manufacturing company in the world, while LG Display is therefore focusing on making a larger contract with Huawei. It seems that if the things went well, then the two companies will be definitely up for something bigger.

Huawei Mate RS is one of the first Huawei phones, which will be featuring the fingerprint reader below the display. According to different sources, LG might be responsible for the successful mating of the Goodix-made reader for the display.

Another obvious fact is that LG Display also meets the OLED screen requirements of LG Mobile itself, but in the past it has also offered the display technology to Google’s Pixel 2 XL. It has also successfully collaborated with Xiaomi in the recent past. Therefore, the time is near when LG will be competing directly with Samsung in the OLED screen business.
