Nokia 1 Android Go Smartphone Released in India

Nokia 1 is the HMD Global’s first mobile phone running the Android Oreo 8.1 (Go edition) and now it’s finally available for purchase in India. The HMD Global had introduced the Nokia 1 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February this year. The Nokia 1 is among the first smartphones in India which come with the Android Oreo Go edition. The Android Go eco-system assures to deliver an optimized experience in the budget mobile phones and arrives with lightweight versions of Google services and apps, like Google Maps Go and Gmail Go. The highlight feature of the Nokia 1 is the ability to utilize Xpress On two tone exchangeable polycarbonate covers that enable the users to personalize its looks.

The Nokia 1 is available across mobile phone outlets in the India with the price tag of INR 5,499 (approx. $85). It comes in two color options Dark Blue and Warm Red. Meantime, the Xpress On covers have been priced at INR 450 (approx. $7) and available in Grey and Azure or Pink and Yellow. These covers will be available separately beginning from following month.
