Lenovo’s Motorola G4 and G4 Plus are now official

Motorola G4 and G4 Plus have been announced in a dedicated event in New Delhi, India. The devices have been announced under the brand Name Motorola, though it is now being owned by Lenovo.

It has 5.5-inch 720p display with a pixel resolution of 1080p. Design-wise, it has 7.9mm slim body with metal texture at the rear. It has round edges to give it more modern look. It runs on 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 617 chipset. The graphics are handled by 405 Adreno GPU. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expandable via microSD card slot. It is LTE enabled and carry a whopping 3000mAh battery. Theoretically, it’s capable of downloading data at 300Mbps and uploading it at 100 Mbps. Camera-wise, it has 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facer. The front camera is 84-degree wide angle and is ideal for group Selfies. Moto G4 is driven by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

As far as the design is concerned Moto G4 Plus is exact the same and slim as Moto G4. One thing that set two apart is the fingerprint scanner below the screen. It has the same 5.5-inch display in diagonal and with a different pixel resolution 1080 x 1920. The chipset, GPU and battery is same, however, it has two storage variants. One is 2GB RAM with 16GB ROM and other is 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM and both are microSD supported. Ultimately, you have to carry an extra cash for Plus model anyway. In camera department, it has a 16MP shooter with laser and phase-detection autofocus and 5MP front unit.

The release, availability and price are yet unknown, however, we may discover it as the news goes around.
