Skype has today released the updated version of its software app to run as desktop version for Linux, Mac and Windows. The desktop version will also come as the latest design version similar to the mobile app that was released a few weeks ago.

The latest version of Skype for desktop is currently in preview stage for some time, and it will be rolled out globally including Pakistan in a few days. There will be many new features in this version including customizable themes, chat list organized by time, contacts’ statuses, and pinning people. There will also be pinning groups, which will mean that you will have those preferred groups always on the front. Moreover, the user will also be able to have either the standard or the compact view and will also be able to collapse the chat list for concentrating more on the conversations.

Most importantly, Skype will also now allow you to send the files of up to 300MBs through just drag and drop. Latest skype will also not be consuming more battery power.
