The hype has grown to the next level vis-à-vis new anniversary Apple iPhone 8. The innovative OLED display of the device is continuously new edition in the news. The supply chain sources from Asia speculate that the new iPhone 8 will be on sale for customers by the end of October or beginning of November. We have informed you before that the new iPhone will be sold in limited numbers.

However, this time the rumors tell us that the fingerprint scanner placed inside the power button mounted on the right side will not be there. Seemingly, the cases of this phone do not have hole for this particular button, and hence it is least probable that the touch ID will be there. The figure below from this supply chain resource also shows the same.

Therefore, this source confirms that Apple will be placing the fingerprint sensor on the backside right beneath the Apple logo. It hence appears that Apple might this time feature an iris scanner in the new iPhone. Other than that, considering the front side being colored and back side made of glass, the phone might just be offered in one color variant, i.e. black, which it would be from the front side.
