Google is now more than a software company. After the launch of Pixel and Pixel XL, the company has introduced two flagship that speaks for its hardware presence in the market.

One thing that kept Google limited all these year is low retail presence where its sales stumbled rigorously. Google Nexus brand has never been promoted and sold widely. With not very massive sale, Nexus usually served as smartphones that made other android manufacturers to look and adopt good practices.

However, Google Pixel will be opposite. Here there will be full presence in brick and mortar stores throughout US with launch in six countries coming ahead. This brings us to the question how much Google will ship this time.

DigiTimes researchers recent estimates show that Google Pixel units will reach 3 to 4 million shipments by the end of this year, which is good number but let’s see how worthy is it when compared to same sorts. For instance, Sammy is shipping 10 million units if its latest S7 flagship every quarter, while iPhone will ship 40 million to 60 million by the end of 2016.

So, it will still take years to reach what is being carried on by these two tech giants, as they have taken year to reach these high numbers.
