It had been reported earlier that Gionee, the Chinese mobile manufacturing company, has been working on a smartphone having edge-to-edge display. It was only announced today that the company has named it Gionee M7 Power and it will be released on September 28.

The images shown above reveal that M7 Power will come with a bezel-less display on the sides and will only have minor bezels on bottom and top of the front panel. This will hence leave no room for the home button or fingerprint scanner on the front side.

A few days ago, a Gionee phone appeared with 18:9 aspect ratio on GFXBench, and we can only guess that it could be Gionee M7 Power.

It is also rumored that the above photos could just be off Gionee M7. However, all dust will be clear once the company makes official announcement on September 28.
