EU Commission inflicts charges on Google for being Anti-Competitive.

First of all it has negotiated with various manufacturers and carriers for pre-loading its services and apps thus giving an unfair advantage. EU Commission has inflicted charges of $7.45 billion, 10% of the company’s annual earnings for 2015.

The main reason being given is the assertive behavior of the Google when it comes to implicitly restricting other channels to reach the same advantage when it comes to loading their apps and service. It is quite out rightly breaching the European laws regarding manufacturer agreements while making any OS operational.

Although users thus a get complete set of software that has all-in-all capacity but it obstruct them to reach other apps and services. Moreover, the way Android keeps its abusive dominance shows why the manufacturers never divert or part their ways when it comes to Android. Google also gives financial incentives to manufacturers for uploading its apps and make them to avoid the Android open source which could become the best alternative in some cases.

The EU is concerned that the consumers are harmed too as they are not given the widest possible choice. Moreover it restricts the potential of open source programs. However Google has the notion that there is no harm and it is consistently working to improve innovation ecosystem and Android is not pushing away competition.

EU has called upon this case multiple times while the company is retaliating that it is baseless and should be closed earliest possible.
