As part of business plan to create 1 million jobs by the year 2018, Dubai based Careem service is all up to acquire new market avenues, Palestine is the next stop. Company said its investment is according to the Careem’s commitment to create jobs in Middle East and North Africa regions.
App launch in Palestine would empower the locals by inducting the knowledge and possibility to advances in technology, it was said in an official statement.
“At Careem, we are committed to solving local problems in our region by providing access to reliable transportation and aiding in the creation of jobs. But our region would not be complete without including Palestine,” said Careem’s CEO, Mudassir Sheikha.
CEO further hopes that their entry would intrigue other startups and tech companies to come to Palestine and recognize the regional potential and found it the place of right investment.
Careem plans to start operations in Ramallah from Thursday, they’ve plans to extend service to more cities.
