Archos launch three new smartphones, one is windows-powered

The French smartphone maker always introduces multiple handset in every announcement. Very recently it has introduced three smartphones where one is likely to run Windows and two will be identical in hardware.The two handsets Archos 50 Cesium and the Archos 50e Helium can only be differentiated through software.

Evidently the former will run Windows 10 Mobile upon launch, while the latter will run Android Lollipop.The Archos 50 Cesium will be the first Windows 10-running smartphones to be made official. It has 5-inch 720p touchscreen. It will run on a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 chipset tickling at 1.1 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU and Adreno 304 GPU.In camera department, it has an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2 MP front snapper. The device will pack 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. It is powered by 2,100mAh battery. It has dual-SIM capability and 4G LTE support.

The Archos 50e Helium will have the same hardware while running Android 5.1 Lollipop.  Both handsets will set you back for £99 unlocked and SIM-free. The smartphones will be released in November.

The third one, Archos Diamond S, will pack a 5-inch 720p touchscreen. It has a 16 MP main camera with LED flash and an 8 MP Selfie snapper. The rest of the specs include a super-fast 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, MediaTek’s MT6753 chipset humming at 1.5 GHz octa-core CPU, and a 2,300mAh battery.
