Apple has not yet ended the era of 3.5mm headphone jack, but it has simply moved it to the adapter. But now, according to an analyst, Apple is going to put an end to this once and for all. This is because the upcoming iPhone models will not come with the lightning-to-3.5mm adapters.

This is not something new with Apple, as it was reported before that this step will be taken in 2017, but now it will potentially be taken in 2018. The analysts have also shown that there will be 5% reduction of the revenues for Cirrus Logic. In this regard, the components may not be unlabeled and the DAC chips would be working for Cirrus.

It would have been made pretty clear to us that this adapter was basically a stopgap measure, i.e. it will take about two years for consumers to get ready for the Bluetooth headphones. So, till then, Apple would also be happy to sell these adapters separately to the consumers. The price of these adapters will be $9.
