The latest 4-incher from Apple, dubbed iPhone SE, is now available in limited number in Apple stores. The iPhone SE is experiencing shortage due to the growing demand in two of the biggest markets of World and Asia as well. The mid-ranged device is designed solely for economies that offer concrete innards in low-price like China or sell modest innards at an affordable range.

Both China and India are the most lucrative devices to sell iPhone SE, respectively. But the device is also facing shortage in major market of US where it also has limited availability across Apple stores. Currently all models are out of stock and in-store pick up is also unavailable according to Appleinsider.

A recent survey by other sources have also confirmed that stores in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and other important US cities do not have any in-store pickup availability at almost all locations. Pre-ordering from an online store will also make you wait for delivery. This is for all models that the carriers have, in all four colors and with 16GB and 64GB storage variant. Even if you pay $10 for advanced shipping, you have to wait two weeks at least until the device delivers. And if you go for free shipping, you have to wait till 3 weeks or may be more for the smartphone to deliver.

Apple took a risky stance while launching a 4-incher when the people are urging for the mobile phones that are big-screened. By introducing iPhone SE, the company is likely to strike the audience that has not upgraded its handset due to ever increasing size of the display of the handset. Even iPhone grew a bit larger when iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were launched. Moreover, despite of bigger phone temptation, there are customers who still want to grab smaller screens and low priced iPhones. Apple, by any means, needs to win this game by introducing phones that are bit outdated in terms of design to keep connection with oldie iPhony lovers, which have biased attitude for the phone.

The limited availability of the iPhone is either due to increasing demand, a dearth of sufficient stock or just a mixture of the two. May be most of the stock is directed towards other big markets like China and India. But meek availability has shown few concerns if Apple is taking care of its inventory already well.
