Android Nougat and Oreo both grow according to latest report

The distribution numbers for different Android OS versions are out for this month. If you look closely into stats below, then it will be revealed that the share for Android Oreo has almost doubled as compared to the last month, as it now captures about 0.50% of the OS market share, which was about 0.30% in the last month.

The share for Android Nougat is also increased in December, as it now stands at 23.3% as compared to 20.6% in the previous month. Similarly, all other major OS versions of Android have experienced a decline, as Marshmallow has come down to 29.7% from 30.9%, Lollipop has come down to 26.3% from 27.2% and KitKat has declined from 13.8% to 13.4%.

Lastly, the combined global share of the rest of the Android OS versions has also declined from 7.2% to 6.8%.
